I’m angrier than a bald eagle without talons over the fact that, in this day and age, women think that it’s okay to get an abortion. Of course, abortion is absolutely not okay. Anyone who’s decent agrees. Too bad our legal system isn’t getting the memo!
An appeals court here in New York state ruled yesterday that the state can force insurance companies to cover abortions deemed to be medically necessary. There’s no such thing. No abortion can ever be medically necessary!
Thankfully, the Albany New York Roman Catholic diocese has vowed to keep pushing. In a statement to the media, the diocese said:
“While we respect the decision issued today by the New York State Court of Appeals we will again seek review by the United States Supreme Court of this critical challenge to religious freedom by filing a timely petition for a Writ of Certiorari. The United States Supreme Court previously granted our petition for a Writ of Certiorari on this constitutional challenge and vacated the New York lower court decision with a remand direction for further review.
At stake is regulatory action by a state to require religious organizations to provide and pay for coverage of abortion in their employee health plans. We believe this is unconstitutional since it involves government entanglement in the fundamental rights of free exercise of faith and conscience. The final decision on constitutionality will be by the United States Supreme Court.”
Well, it’s good to know someone has the courage to stand up and fight for what’s right. The Catholics stand in firm opposition to abortion and it’s clear why: abortion is murder. There are no exceptions.
