Trivia

Below are boring, trivial facts about me.  If you’re really bored, and I mean really bored with nothing better to do, this is the page for you.

  • I should be dead many times over.  I survived endocarditis, a burst appendix, sepsis and being almost run over several times.  I also survived two major a-fib attacks.  That I’m still alive baffles me and doctors.
  • My two favorite television shows are 911 and The Rookie.
  • I once had a career as a master control operator and board operator at television and radio stations around the country. If you want to know what those things are, Google it.
  • My preferred style of music is dance/techno/house/trance/EDM/eurodance
  • I have owned michaelcrook.org since 2005 and michaelcrook.net since 2007.
  • I was once a DJ on what was then 103.7 The Shark in South Jersey.
  • I once spent the night in jail over an article that I wrote.
  • Once, and only once, I interrupted a weekday Mass.  Mass had just started when I got numerous breaking news alerts stating that there was white smoke at the Vatican.  I gestured to the priest and he permitted me to come forward.  I whispered, “white smoke,” and stepped back.  He then announced that to those present.  That is the first and last time I’ll ever interrupt Mass, but a new pope justified my decision to do that.
