Yesterday, I wrote about the situation in Iran and how dangerous things are becoming. Well, things are getting worse way before they’ll ever get better. It’s so bad that, just as it has in days previous, the State Department has advised all Americans who are in the Middle East as a whole should “depart,” pointing out that leaving by air may be impossible due to the worsening attacks.
The question I have is this: why would an American want to be in the Middle East to begin with? We all know that the region is violent, dangerous and hotter than hell. Why, then, would one voluntarily subject oneself to such an environment? All over TikTok, you’ll see influencers crying and showing fear for their safety. No sympathy.
They put themselves in that situation. Surely they knew something like this could happen. They chose to assume the risk and look where it’s gotten them. They may very well find themselves with nowhere to run. Some of them may even die because of the choices that they made. No one should feel sorry for them. Their follower count won’t save them now!
As for the other Americans who are in the general area, if they’re there and if they’re grown adults, they know the area’s dangerous. They went anyway. They know things could turn sideways with no warning whatsoever. They went anyway. Some may say it’s not their fault because it’s their job to be there. Well, actions have consequences. If your job cares so little about your safety that they’d send you to the region, maybe you chose the wrong employer.
Americans in the following areas might find themselves with no easy way out:
- Bahrain
- Egypt
- Iran
- Iraq
- West Bank
- Gaza
- Jordan
- Kuwait
- Lebanon
- Oman
- Qatar
- Saudi Arabia
- Syria
- United Arab Emirates
- Yemen
Well, if you’re stupid enough to go to such hostile countries, then you pretty much deserve what you get! I can’t feel sorry for people who are so dumb that they’d go anywhere near that region! Voluntarily even! Well, okay, I can possibly see the UAE being somewhat safe, but one would have to be suicidal to go to any of the other countries.
This conflict could last quite a while, meaning that it could stretch into April and perhaps even longer. Lots of lives will be lost. As of the time this article was published, at least six members of the military have died. I truly admire Trump’s presidencies, but their blood is on his hands. He did not have to take things this far and yet, he did. And all because he won’t let the USA just mind its own business.
Things can only go downhill from here. Sooner or later, Iran’s allies will spring into action and at that point, we could very well be looking at a third world war. Will things go that far? We sure hope not, but it’s a possibility. All of this could have been avoided had Trump just concerned himself with what’s going on in our country and not with what’s happening elsewhere.
