Is Albany a target?

Over the past few months and weeks, I have been screaming at the top of my lungs about how we’re nearing World War III.  I’ve been saying that we won’t see it come out of nowhere.  Instead, there will be escalations prior to a hostile country nuking us on US soil.

Things are starting to get spicy as the military is quickly moving its assets around so that it’ll be ready should the worst happen.  The so-called “Doomsday Plane” was quietly moved to Washington, DC.  With every passing hour, the possibility of our nation poking its head into the Israel-Iran situation is becoming more and more a reality.

The moment that our nation’s finest president, President Donald Trump, gives the order to execute the plans that’s made will make us a prime target for launches from Russia, China and North Korea.  I don’t think we should intervene and I truly feel that Israel should be nuked right out of existence as penance for attacking a harmless nation, Iran.

Things are escalating even as I type this.  Some of our nation’s stealth bombers have been moved into position.  This tells me that World War III is about to begin, if it hasn’t already.  Very soon, other nations will align themselves and at that point, it’s all over.

Are we really going to poke the bear and cause the deaths of at least 60% of our nation’s civilians by way of less than instant vaporization and violently awful and slow deaths over the next week?  Sooner or later, if we get involved, our assets and military will be wiped out over there.  Of course, we already are involved.

But if we attack Iran directly, we might as well give up on living through the summer.

Once they’re finished, the enemy nations will launch their attacks all around our nation, from top to bottom.

Well, screw the rest of the country; what about Albany, New York?

Yes, Albany is indeed a target.  We may not be the first on Russia’s list, but we are almost certainly a secondary target once the nuclear warheads wipe out our nation’s defense systems.  If we survive those two attacks, we will absolutely wind up as a tertiary target.  We, meaning Albany itself, are sitting ducks.

It’s the awful truth that no one in Albany is thinking about.  Though we are on someone’s list, almost no one knows why hostile, nuclear nations would ever want anything to do with us.  But more on that later.

One well-informed estimate puts deaths in Albany proper at well over 80,000 with scores more being injured with no reasonable hope of getting medical treatment.  Those poor sons of bitches will suffer brutal pain, hair falling out and almost drowning in their own blood.  The pain and suffering will be immense.

Those who are vaporized will be the lucky ones.

Right now, for the purposes of this article, I’m only concerned with what will happen to and in Albany proper.  The suburbs and surrounding cities can go kick rocks as far as I’m concerned.

Albany may have a lot going for it.  Sorry, I tried to type that without laughing. I nearly spit out my Classic Coke.

Albany has nothing going for it.  It quite frankly never has had anything and it never will, no matter who wins this year’s mayoral election.  I tried to run as a candidate, I really did.  A medical situation required me to abandon the race, and during a time frame in which I could have dropped back in, I realized something: I truly don’t give a rat’s ass about Albany!

Yes, I truly wanted to be Albany’s next mayor, but I knew that I had absolutely no realistic path to the mayor’s desk.  I just wanted to stir the pot a little bit.

Let’s be brutally honest here: there’s so much wrong with Albany that it would take two or three mayors to fix what’s wrong with it.

It’s no surprise, then, that our city is absolutely not prepared for a nuclear attack.  Even though there are still a precious few buildings with the Cold War era fallout shelter sign (yellow sign, three black triangles), those shelters are old and not even close to being prepared to handle Albany’s citizens’ urgent, current needs.

The rations that may or may not remain in those shelters are expired and useless.  Also, those shelters were built in another era.  That makes them useless what with nuclear warheads being several times more powerful than what was known back then.

Now, I reached out for comments from the mayor’s office, the police department and other departments within the city.  None returned my calls or emails.  That tells me that they’re hiding things that they don’t want you to know.

Well, I did speak to a well-placed subordinate of a city leader.  That person agreed to comment on the condition that he or she not be named and that his or her department not be named.  Fair enough!  I agreed!

“To put it bluntly, Albany is screwed.  The shelters that we do have haven’t been touched in decades and any rations that are in there are long since expired.”

I like the person’s response.  It is blunt and it is honest.  Albany simply isn’t prepared for what is coming our way when we involve ourselves in the Israel-Iran conflict.

But that’s not all the anonymous person had to say!

“Albany is absolutely a target.  Russia and China definitely have ICBM’s already pointed straight at Albany.  The thought keeps me up at night sometimes and that discomfort is magnified when I see how our city’s leadership is incompetent when it comes to this matter.”

In other words, our city’s leaders are well aware of what’s happening.  They just don’t have the time, desire, resources and staffing to provide useful shelters.  They know that what we have no longer has any purpose.  The mayoral candidates have probably never given a moment’s thought to how to get Albany through a direct nuclear strike.

Well, they better care now, before I decide to come back as a write-in candidate! That is, of course, if Albany still exists by primary time and if it’s still around in November!  The primary might actually happen, but mark my words: we will not need a November election, because a vaporized and destroyed city doesn’t need a government.  There would be no point.

Our current city leadership also knows that only a certain number of people will be admitted.  The rest of the people will be left to be vaporized outside or left to die a miserable death.

Who gets to determine who gets shelter and who doesn’t?  Governmental officials get in.  Local celebrities are getting in.  The wealthy will absolutely get in, assuming that they have their own private bunkers.

Your average Albany citizen will be screwed.  But don’t envy those lucky few. Those who do find shelter might receive little to no food or drink.  No sanitary way to handle human waste, bringing about incurable illnesses.

That’s to say nothing of the overcrowding and the lack of decency, law and order.  In other words, yes, some may score some temporary shelter, but the long-term consequences are many.

Given the escalations that become more and more serious with every passing hour, now is the time for Albany’s hapless citizens to do the following:

  • Activate whatever fallout shelter you may have on your property.  Get to wherever you may have the level of protection that you may will need to not only survive the blast and the initial fallout.  Just be aware that they may not save you.  But it’s better than nothing!
  • Stock up on rations.  Food, water, sanitary conditions and so forth.  A lot of people have a year’s worth of food stored up, and that’s fine.  Follow their example, but the only way to do that is to act right this very moment!
  • Make final arrangements.  Gather together everyone’s birth certificates, social security cards, marriage certificates and so forth.  Place the appropriate documents near each person so that there’s a small chance that you can be identified should you survive the initial blast and the initial radiation poisoning.

Should you point to the preppers who have been quietly gathering what they need, I would simply point out that their admiral preparedness is not a get out of jail free card.  What they have may not be good enough, and they won’t know until it’s too late that what they had was simply not enough.  At that point, if I haven’t been vaporized, I will admire their moxie, but I will laugh at their failures.

So, then, the question that many are asking is this: why would anyone want to target Albany and its surrounding areas?  Albany is so boring, right?  So why would Russia or China want to take us out?  First, they’ll attack if we attack Iran.  Sure, the attacks might start overseas, but in short order, we will be hit and hit hard.

To ensure that this doesn’t happen, we should instead nuke Israel and take its bullies out. Also:

  • There is a nuclear arsenal located in Watervliet, a city just outside of Albany.  Of course they’ll want to wipe it out and Albany along with it.  That’s because much of our nation’s weaponry comes from that building.
  • The Port of Albany makes us a highly desirable target.
  • There are numerous military assets, including the state’s National Guard.
  • There is a nuclear atomic facility in one of Albany’s suburbs.  That’s one reason why Albany is a target.  Sure, they’ll take out the suburbs, but they will absolutely launch against Albany itself.
  • Albany is obviously the state’s capital city.  This is where the state’s government is run.  What better way to bring the state to its knees by wiping out 10 million people in New York City and by eliminating the city’s financial districts.  Wipe out NYC and the state is screwed.  Wipe out Albany and you have no state government and at that point, we’re Russia’s bitch.

This graphic shows you what could happen to Albany proper and its surrounding areas.  Of course, graphics are never 100% accurate, but this gives at least a little glimpse of how bad things will be when we get struck.

The city official who gave me the information also said:

“Numerous governmental, industrial and military targets in Albany and its surrounding areas make Albany’s survival odds extremely low.”

The good news for a few is that there are concrete bunkers hidden deep under the Empire State Plaza.  Could it withstand a direct hit and could it survive and sustain even a few of Albany’s citizens?  Maybe, maybe not.  The people to whom I reached out to did not respond might very well have been capable of answering that simple question but chose to hide from you.

Sure, some of the high-value targets are not in Albany itself, but we will still get hit and hit hard.  Because Albany is a high-powered city, so of course we’re going to be vaporized!  That’s thanks to our state’s government being just down the street from me.

Should you lose sleep at night over this if you reside in Albany?  Yes, you absolutely should, thanks to recent events.  The minute we get involved, Russia will be pissed and so will China.  Now, if Trump does things properly, we will avoid that unpleasant series of events, simply by leaving Israel to its own devices.

Some readers mocked me through email for my predictions that escalations will begin weeks or days in advance of nuclear war beginning.  Now that things are moving at a fast clip and now that there are escalations that even an idiot could see, I got your mockery right here!

One way or another, Albany’s going to feel the pain.  The city will be destroyed beyond belief.  Around 80% of our population will be wiped out less than instantly or within hours or perhaps days.  But not much longer than that!

Of course, those of us who are vaporized and spared any suffering whatsoever will be envied by the living.  Sure, survive the blast.  Survive the radiation.  But do you really want to step out into the world that you will emerge into?

Sit back and enjoy the show, folks.  Oh, and…sweet, nuclear dreams!
