I’m angrier than a person who backs Ukraine over the fact that Russia’s attacks on the country are completely unprovoked. The Russia-Ukraine War has been going on for years now, but it looks as if the war might be coming to a close, if Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin gets what he wants.
He is calling for a ceasefire if Russia gets to keep what they’ve claimed as theirs. Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, has said that a ceasefire on Russia’s terms is not acceptable.
Zelensky wants Russia to give back to the Ukraine what Russia has taken, a demand that is not unreasonable.
It will be interesting to see if a ceasefire will come to pass. How the Western world will respond to the possibility of a ceasefire will likely dictate what happens in the end.
It’s high time that Russia shuts the war down. Russia should return to Ukraine what it’s taken and then leave the innocent country alone. It’s time to de-escalate the potential for World War III, although the way things are going, the war might happen sooner rather than later.
