The Catholic Church, of which I am a part, teaches that all life is sacred, a gift from God. Sometimes, however, you just have to rejoice when someone dies So it is with the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who died as a result of American and Israeli attacks. As I wrote yesterday, the possible, albeit slightly, beginnings of World War III manifested itself yesterday when Trump’s military, along with bully nation Israel’s, attacked Iran with fury and purpose.
Operation Epic Fury has already caused deaths, destruction and outrage all around the globe. With Khamenei out of the way, maybe Trump will put all this war stuff to a permanent halt. He isn’t the only of the nation’s leaders to perish; several others have died as well, paving the way for a new government. But whatever happens, it shouldn’t concern us. It’s none of our business, so Trump should have left well enough alone.
Yes, I understand that nations around the world don’t want Iran to possess nuclear weapons, but starting a war to prevent a war seems wise, but it in all actuality dangerous. Trump is playing a dangerous game here, but he doesn’t care that 300 million American lives could be snuffed out in a matter of hours because of his actions. I’ll just bet that Russia is now chomping at the bit to avenge Iran.
No, Trump doesn’t care about American lives and other leaders don’t care as well. Why should they? They will be whisked away to fortified bunkers while the rest of us pay with our lives. If Trump truly cared about his fellow Americans, he would have just not gotten us involved. Now we are involved and all over something that shouldn’t really concern us.
Now don’t misunderstand me. I remain a Trump supporter. I am not regretting voting him back into office. But he is dead wrong here. And speaking of dead, American lives will be lost because of this latest operation. Members of our military will die as well as American citizens who are in Iran and, perhaps, those of us on the mainland.
Again, Russia is more than willing to nuke us now that we’ve attacked their ally. Am I being paranoid? Maybe, but those of us who lived through the Cold War know that Russia’s just been looking for an excuse. Now they have one, and the blame should be placed squarely upon the shoulders of Trump. He is our nation’s finest president since Reagan, but he may very well have signed the death warrants of many, many Americans.
I don’t care if people from other countries die in this latest conflict, one that will almost certainly result in a major war. I only care about American lives right now. Iran is fighting back, and that means that innocent people from numerous countries will pay for Trump’s hard on for violence. As of right now, at least 200 people are dead because Trump wants to overthrow another country’s government. It’s not his fight. He needs to focus on our government, not some other country’s leader.
What might enrage some, including me, is the fact that while people are dying as a direct result of his arrogant actions, he will be at a $1 million per head fundraiser tonight. That’s not a good look, and it’s the perfect chance for Russia or China to really get the party started. At that point, NATO’s Article V will trigger and there’s your third world war, folks.
There’s nothing that any of us regular folks can do here. Plenty of information is coming to us through the news, but there are also things going on at this very moment that high-ranking people know. Trust me, we do not want to know those things.
