Prestige Vending didn’t do the right thing. So…..

A few days ago, I bitched about Prestige Vending, a company that provides break room vending machines to numerous companies throughout the Albany area.  I have been a temporary employee for quite some time now and as such, I’ve worked short-term and long-term assignments in the area.  Every single place that I’ve gone, Prestige’s vending machines are there.  That used to be a good thing.

I made every effort to resolve the matter peacefully.  One of their machines took me for almost $5.00 and the company did nothing about it.  This isn’t about the money.  After all, it’s just a measly $5.00.  No, this is about principle, and it is obvious to me that the company does not care about the right thing.  They can barely keep their machines properly stocked, so it should come as no surprise that they don’t care about its end users.

I am not one to stay silent.  I have filed a complaint with the client to whom I am temporarily assigned and I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.  It’s important to note that they have chosen to not register with the BBB.  That should alarm people.  No legitimate company should want to hide from the BBB!

I am not surprised…Prestige has had at least three complaints filed against it, all for the same thing: according to the complaints, the company has ripped off other people.  So it’s not just me.  Apparently, this is how they do business.  Sadly, they get away with it because they provide services to practically every office-based company in the area.  They know that they can get away with it.

Well, I am just getting started.  I have filed a dispute with my bank and I have of course filed a complaint with the BBB.  This is no longer about a refund.  This is about exposing a company that I feel is, sad to say, happy to rip people off.  Not to be outdone, I will also be filing a complaint in small claims court.  I don’t care if I win or lose because I will get it on the record that the company thinks nothing of ripping off a customer who has been using its services since 2013.

As you might imagine, I am no longer using their machines.  Instead, I am purchasing foodstuffs for the work day from Walmart before I report for duty.  I am already saving money and Prestige just lost itself a customer, a satisfied customer up to this point.  Sure, they won’t miss my money (typically $30.00 a week), but I know for sure that I am not the only customer who is being treated this way.

The email I received today in response to my complaint showed its contempt for me.  It was so well-polished that I think it proves that the company gets off on ripping people such as myself off.  Most people would just brush it off, thinking it’s only a few bucks, so why bother?  Well, I am not most people.

You want to play fuck fuck, Prestige?  Let’s play!
