Pete Hegseth did nothing wrong!

I stand firmly behind our nation’s finest president ever, Donald Trump.  My regular visitors know that.  By extension, I stand behind his people.  So, then, it comes as no surprise that I also stand behind Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who has been thrust under a bright light for supposedly endangering members of the US military.

What happened, basically, is that Hegseth supposedly shared sensitive information on the Signal messaging app by way of a group chat.  It is encrypted, not classified.  Allegedly, Hegseth shared sensitive information that he got through secure channels, information that could in theory have put people in danger because that information included locations and takeoff times of our fighter jets in Yemen.

Hegseth has the authority to declassify information, and it appears that he simply exercised that authority.  It’s important to note that no one actually got hurt and by all appearances, the information that he posted caused absolutely no harm.  So why the fuss?  I’ll tell you: it’s all about making Trump’s administration look like animals.  It’s bitterness, pure and simple.

The information Hegseth posted was provided to an internet-based “media outlet.”  That particular publication is of no relevance and not enough people read it to cause any harm.

If Hegseth determined that the information he posted wasn’t classified, then people should simply respect his decision.  I don’t think that he would ever intentionally put our military in harm’s way.  I choose to believe that if he thought for even a moment that he would put them in harm’s way, he wouldn’t have posted it.

The simple fact is this: people are out to get Trump.  One of the best ways to try to do that is to go after his people.  That’s all this is, folks.  It’s all about political posturing and not anyone’s safety.

On to the next unsuccessful attempt to hurt Trump!
