I have gotten a lot of emails and comments on my social media platforms that take issue with my support for President Donald Trump. As you might imagine, I do not respond to such evil and I heavily moderate comments, so you can be assured that no anti-Trump material makes it anywhere under my control.
It’s kind of like Demi Lovato and her song Commander in Chief. It is, to me, hate speech. I would normally never link to anything that in any way opposes Trump, but in this case, I will. A few days after that performance, I was on a temporary assignment at a local radio station where I prepared songs for broadcast based on a program log.
I did have the authority to make decisions based on time and you can bet your bippy that that song got dropped, replaced by a song by a different artist. Oops! Time constraint!
Let’s make it clear: Lovato is clearly a talented performer, and she has a few songs that I think are okay, but I am not prepared to tolerate any anti-Trump rhetoric and if I have something to say about it, that rhetoric will be removed. Yes, she has freedom of speech, but that does not mean I have to let her engage in what I believe to be hate speech.
Trump has done so much for this country and it enrages me when people use their free speech to spew vile hatred towards a man who only wants to make America great again.
So, yes, let people have their freedom of speech. I have my freedom of speech as well and I will use that freedom to further the truth that some people apparently don’t want to hear: Trump is what’s best for our country and I hope that he finds a constitutional loophole in order to have a third term. Yes, it’s a long shot, but it could happen.
The same people who talk trash about Trump are the same people who are benefiting from his leadership. That’s usually how things work in situations such as this, unfortunately. A lot of people are ignorant of what Trump has done, is doing and will do for the finest country on the planet.
The finest president for the finest country.
