I am vindicated!

Last week, and several times on my TikTok page, I complained about a beggar who harassed myself and my fellow Catholics before Mass and the week before.  He also scared my non-Catholic wife, and that pushed me over the edge.  In response to my videos, several people contacted my parish, hoping to get me in trouble.  Not only am I not in trouble, folks, but I am vindicated!

Today, a notice was placed in our bulletin and an announcement was made over the pulpit.  When I heard it, I felt safer because now I know that the parish is taking this seriously.  We shouldn’t have to put up with beggars coming in off the streets begging for things.  That’s not why we go to Mass.

“Individuals have been approaching people in the parking lot, at their vehicles, and inside the church. Do not give them
money. If you are approached, inform us right away so we can ask them to leave or contact local authorities.”

There it is, in black and white!  I am grateful that our safety and privacy are being protected.  I do not go to Mass to put up with beggars and I will absolutely not assist them in any way.  If anyone like that approaches me, I will be escorting them off of the property myself.  We should not have to put up with harassment, and I will not be a victim at Mass!
