Okay, I’ll jump into the fray

Last week, as we’ve all heard by now, politician and all-around scumbag Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck and bled out at an event at a college event in the Mormon-occupied state of Utah.  The shooting appears, to me at least, to be a professional hit because of the precision timing.  It takes someone of skill to snipe someone in the neck at just the perfect place to ensure a nearly instant death.

Lots of people are sharing their opinions on Kirk’s death online.  And, in this day and age when disagreeing with someone means taking their job, people are losing their jobs left and right because people can’t handle dissenting opinions without going after someone’s way of earning a living.

The people who are losing the jobs are those who celebrated Kirk’s death via social media. Innocent jokes and harmless comments like “karma” are resulting in loss of income.  There are so many links regarding job loss that can’t link to them all or this article will go on forever.  You can Google it if you haven’t already seen news stories pop up.

The people who have been fired range from cops to educational employees to political staffers.  The consequence of free speech in America is now financial ruin brought about by the internet mafia who whines to employers and who threatens boycotts in an effort to bully employers into firing those who dare to share their opinion.  Sadly, those threat are bearing fruit.

Plenty of other people suffered unjust punishment for daring to get the truth out there: Kirk deserved it.  Hell, even a Secret Service agent was put on leave. Airline pilots, teachers and professors are all losing their jobs.  And why?  People can’t handle it when people speak the truth.

Unjust!

Also unjust is the fact that university professors and employees are being fired.  Fired on a university campus for free speech.  A university should be just the place for new ideas and freedom of speech.  But no, punish those who speak the truth.

Office Depot clearly doesn’t respect its employees’ rights.  They fired a female employee who did the right thing and refused to print flyers for a Kirk vigil.  We need more American heroes like her, even if she is black!

As for me?  I agree with the people who are mocking his death!  Kirk was a scumbag of the highest order and I wholeheartedly support and respect his demise.  The only sad part of this is that some poor, hapless son of a bitch is going to spend the rest of his life in prison if convicted.  It’s my belief that he’s an American hero!

If proven guilty, and he hasn’t been yet, then sadly, he did commit a crime and there are consequences for that.  In this case, he should be left off with a fine and a warning.  He did what he felt he had to do, if he even did it in the first place.

Kirk pretty much deserved what he got.  His political views and his other opinions made him a target, and rightfully so.  Opinions have consequences and given his opinions, he was begging to be put down like the dirty dog he was.

Perhaps one of the many things he said that resulted in his well-deserved demise was his views on guns.  He felt that more people should be able to own guns and he also said that some shooting deaths were justified.  That made what happened to him all the more ironic and delicious.

As for me?  I believe that the second amendment should be repealed and less people should be able to own guns.  Is someone going to come after me now?  Yes, I truly believe that there should be less guns and I am expressing that opinion when writing an article on someone who got killed with a gun, but sometimes, the lesser of two evils must prevail.  That’s what happened here.

I could go on and on about what was wrong with Kirk, who was apparently set to become a Catholic.  Someone with his views simply has no business joining the Church.  He talked over and down to people who didn’t share his disgusting views and people who do that deserve what they get.

His views on homosexuality and gender care likely put a target on his back.  The fact that he spoke his opinions out loud earned him a bullet.  It’s just as simple as that!

I feel no sympathy for his widow.  She likely shared his views and if that’s the case, then she’s lucky that she didn’t catch a bullet or two herself.  I am not advocating for that, because it’s illegal and she doesn’t deserve to die because of the slimeball she stupidly married.

As for his two children, they don’t deserve to have anything bad happen to them.  They’re innocent.  What they deserve, however, is to be taken away from their mother and placed into foster care with an eye towards adoption by a family who won’t put their safety in jeopardy.

That’s what Kirk did, by the way.  He put his widow and children in danger. The widow is old enough to own the consequences of her choices, but the fact of the matter is that they had targets on their backs given Kirk’s high-profile comments and beliefs.  He clearly didn’t care about his family’s safety.  If he did, he would have kept his mouth shut.  Look where his opinions got him!

What if the kids had been in the crossfire?  What about his widow?  Did he think about anyone else but himself?  Clearly not, and that’s another reason why what happened to him was, in my opinion, justified.

The widow I don’t care about.  She made her life choices.  The kids are blameless and deserve only good things.  It’s my opinion that being raised by someone who I believe to be an evil person would not be in their best interests.  Let me say it again: Charlie Kirk deserved it and I laughed when I got the breaking news alert and I laughed even harder when I saw the footage of him being stricken.

Now, here’s the thing: will someone come after my job as well?  First and foremost, good luck finding out who presently employs me.  I haven’t posted that information anywhere online, so there’s nothing to be cached and nothing to be scrubbed in the hopes no one will find said details.  I highly doubt that I’ll be fired over a simple opinion.

My opinions will have consequences, I’m sure.  I’ll be trolled.  I’ll be hated.  I’ll be stalked.  I expect all of that.  What I do not expect is to be fired over this article.  In fact, I was just reinstated after being fired for refusing to help a co-worker who was in medical peril.  Given that my job is not public-facing, firing me would be unjust.

Sure, some people might care enough to try to find where I work (my resume does not include it), but their efforts will not bear fruit. And anyway, my opinions don’t warrant such a reaction and none of the people who have been fired or placed on leave deserve that sort of shabby treatment either.

As for Kirk?  It bears repeating: his actions and words caused blood to spurt out of his neck like water out of a lawn sprinkler earned him a relocation to six feet under.  Opinions have consequences.  In other words: make sure that your opinions are valid before posting them.  If your opinions are not valid, then keep them to yourself or risk enraging the wrong person.

Opinions have consequences.  Words have consequences.  Sometimes, those consequences are deserved.  This is one of those occasions.  I hate to sound like a broken record, but that bears repeating.  The next time you want to express an opinion, consider what happened to Kirk and then ask yourself if you’re willing be held accountable for your words.

I am glad to see that Kirk suffered the correct consequence.
