I have no problem with it!

President Donald Trump, our nation’s finest president ever, is being accused of being a bigot.  Why?  Because he used a word that many are whining is somehow or another a slur against Jews.  Now, me, I don’t care.  Even if he did know what the word meant, and he denies that he does, I don’t care.  I have no problem with treating Jews poorly.

That word?  Shylocks.  An odd word that.  Many are complaining that the word is somehow against the Jews.  But remember, Jews already have thin skin and they already think that the world is out to get them.  Nothing has happened to Jews that they didn’t deserve.

“No death tax, no estate tax, no going to the banks and bar exam from, in some cases a fine banker, and in some cases Shylocks and bad people, but they took away a lot of family. They destroyed a lot of families, but we did the opposite.”

I don’t see how that paints Jews in a negative light at all.  I think it’s just a bunch of Jews being just a little bit uppity, maybe even having a persecution complex.

The word “shylocks” is a silly word, but apparently it does have meaning.  Sort of.  Apparently, a fictional character in one of William Shakespeare’s play The Merchant of Venice, dating back to the early 1600’s.

Wikipedia says thusly:

“Shylock’s characterization is composed of stereotypes, for instance greediness and vengefulness, although there were no legally practising Jews who lived in England during Shakespeare’s time. Jews were expelled from the country in 1290 by Edward I in the Edict of Expulsion; this was not reversed until the mid-17th century (the Cromwell Era).”

The name is not a Jew name.  It was a well-known name common in the London area at the time.  Leave it to the Jews to make something about them when it really doesn’t.  They overstate everything.  This.  The “Holocaust.”  Pretty much anything that comes out of their mouths.

I firmly believe that Trump had no ill will in this matter.  He simply spoke the truth and managed to ruffle some feathers, mostly Jewish feathers.

Now, if Trump hauled off and called Jewish people “kikes,” I might have a slight problem with that, not not much, to be honest.  That word is considered to be reprehensible and bigoted against Jews.  Problem is, that word is based in fact.  Many Jewish immigrants came to Ellis Island unable to do something as simple as sign their names.  Instead, all they could do is sign by forming a circle.

“Kike” is the Yiddish word for “circle.”  Since all most Jews could do is sign using that shape instead of, you know, their actual names, they got called “kikes.”  And it suits them well!

So try to paint Trump as the evil one in this story.  Not so!  It’s just another case of uppity Jews wanting to make it all about themselves.
