That’s MY president!

President Donald Trump, the finest president ever, has once again hit it out of the ballpark with his latest move.  Through an executive order, starting Monday, people from twelve countries will be banned from entering the finest nation in the world, and restricting people from seven others.

The move wasn’t done overnight; it has been in the works for months, but the timing is perfect given recent incidents involving people from, shall we say, dangerous and possibly hostile nations.  So who’s on the list?

People from the following countries will be completely banned:  Afghanistan, Burma, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.  I can think of more nations that belong on the list, like Iraq and North Korea (if people somehow escape the country in the first place), but it’s a start, right?

Politico reports that, “the ban exempts existing visa holders, lawful permanent residents, specific visa categories and individuals the government determines serve U.S. national interests.”  That shouldn’t be.  People from these nations need to be rounded up and permanently expelled.  But beggars cannot be choosers.

The following countries will see their countrymen severely restricted: Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela.

As is always the case in matters such as this, there will be a number of exemptions.  That simply won’t do!  Trump must turn the nuclear key and go full speed ahead.

CBS News reported:

In a video statement released by the White House Wednesday night, Mr. Trump said the Boulder attack “underscored the extreme dangers posed to our country by the entry of foreign nationals who are not properly vetted, as well as those who come here as temporary visitors and overstay their visas. We don’t want them.”

Seriously, we need to close our doors to people from many nations.  Too many foreigners are in our country.  That needs to stop independent of terrorist incidents.  For example, people from the United Kingdom, The Netherlands (Holland), Belgium, France, South Korea and Germany should be welcomed into our country, along with others.

But here is my caveat: allowing foreigners to attend our universities should come to an end, as should any form of asylum.  The permanent resident nonsense has to come to a halt as well.  Basically, people from any acceptable foreign country should only be allowed here on a tourist visa, not to exceed 90 days.  Yes, I know, dare to dream.  In my ideal America, this would happen sooner rather than later.

As for Trump’s newest attempt to make America great again, all I can say is that I am proud to call him my president.
