It’s generally a good idea to watch where you’re going, especially when you’re walking the filthy streets of Brazil. The unidentified woman walked over a manhole cover, only to fall right into the sewer. The video footage is hilarious, calling to mind Yosemite Sam when he fell down a mineshaft.
Fabiana Rosa, 32, was clearly not looking where she was going. That ignorance almost cost her her life. I for one cannot feel sorry for her. If you don’t remain aware of your surroundings, you deserve what’s coming for you. The fact that she survived is sad, but hopefully, she learned a valuable lesson.
It wasn’t her fault that apparent thieves moved the cover out of its groove, but it is her fault in the sense that she wasn’t looking where she was going. It’s just like those idiots who step into a crosswalk on the red and never remain aware of their surroundings.
Rosa here should have remained aware. If she had been aware of her surroundings, she wouldn’t have fallen in. It’s just that simple.
