Was it worth it?

Yesterday, I wrote about Operation Epic Fury, Trump’s attack on Iran, an attack not authorized by Congress and an action with no justification.  I mentioned that military lives will be lost.  Sadly, I am right.  As of the time that this article was published, at last three servicemen died and many more have been injured.  Was it worth it? No.

There is no reason why the United States should attack Iran, yet Trump apparently cares so little about military life that he’s willing to gamble.  It’s not his life that is in jeopardy, so what does he care?  More people will die because of Trump’s desire to meddle in another country’s affairs.  Iran’s problems are not our problems.

It will be interesting to see how this escalates, but in the name of American citizens, Trump wants to attack Iran for no good reason.  He’s causing deaths, including that of children, and I am willing to bet that he doesn’t care in the slightest.

I know that death is a risk that is involved when one joins the military, but this, like most other wars, is pointless and it is not our obligation to help the Iranian people.
