Today is a day for some people to do good deeds. Good deeds like, say, going to a homeless shelter to help serve food to the needy. Before I go any further, I need to do some full disclosure. Anyone who follows my TikTok page knows that I have no compassion or tolerance for homeless people. They put themselves in that situation. But at least I’m honest about it.
A lot of people don’t share my viewpoint and they do indeed go to shelters to make themselves feel good for a few hours out of one day out of 365 days. No matter their true motives, though, very few people go and post pictures to show the world just how much they care…for one day. Well, folks, Nancy Pelosi is not one of those people.
When I logged into my computer just now and got onto X, the first thing to pop out at me was a photo posted to Pelosi’s X profile. Conveniently, Pelosi is helping serve Thanksgiving food to people who are apparently homeless or at least otherwise in need. There she is, fo all the world to see. Look at Pelosi! She’s at a homeless shelter for a small portion of one day out of many.
Pelosi’s not the only one benefitting from free publicity. The venue is, conveniently, shown, complete with a giant name tag.
Here’s the thing: a truly good deed, a deed done out of a pure desire to help, is done in silence, without photo opportunities and without any form of good publicity. Therefore, I call Pelosi out: did she do this out of a sincere desire to help or did she do it for likes on social media? It’s my opinion that the latter is the case, not the former.
How dare I point fingers, you ask? Because, again, I believe that good deeds are done without fanfare. And, again, I am honest about not doing good deeds. I don’t do good deeds because I simply don’t want to. I don’t care enough about people, especially those whose bad situation is a result of their own action or inaction.
I have more to say about this on TikTok.
No, you likely will never catch me doing a good deed, but I will tell you this: if I were to do a good deed, there would be no selfies, no other types of cameras and no reporters, all of which would generate good publicity for me following a series of TikTok videos last week that misfired completely.
But I digress.
I truly feel that Pelosi showed her true colors today. If she truly felt the need to do something good for people, we wouldn’t even know that she did it. Her motives are showing, and they aren’t pure!
