As a cat owner, I become enraged when anyone mistreats or worse yet, kills a cat, no matter what the reason or excuse. So, then, you’ll understand why am angry, along with many others when it comes to Waymo, a company that puts unmanned vehicles on the road and calls them taxis. As it turns out, Waymo hates cats.
An innocent tabby, KitKat, 9, died on Monday when one of Waymo’s death machines flattened and killed the hapless kitty. For its part, Waymo is far from apologetic. It seems that they’re happy that a cat died, or at the very least, they do not care. By all accounts, the vehicle didn’t even try to stop and that tells you what kind of company Waymo really is.
One person held up a sign that says if you kill a Waymo, you save a cat. It would appear then that the best solution is to disable any and all Waymo vehicles as a matter of self defense and defense of another. After all, animal abuse is now a felony. It’s hard to defend Waymo here, so we should consider them guilty and act accordingly.
I have to wonder how the CEO would feel being pinned to the ground and repeatedly run over by several of his company’s vehicles. You can bet the company would change its tune then! If that were to happen, I would be a very happy person as anyone who kills a cat, even on accident, deserves to be put to death by the same manner that they used to kill the cat.
Waymo’s silence in regards to this is very telling. We all know what kind of a company it is: a cat-killing corporation.
