The SNAP drama is continuing this week given that on Saturday morning, recipients will wake up to no November benefits. As you might imagine, people are taking to social media to whine, complain and play the victim. That’s just amusing. They’re clowns out to entertain us. But there’s a bigger problem: shoplifting.
Plenty of TikTok users are posting unhinged videos in which they angrily promise to shoplift, loot and generally become violent in order to feed themselves and their families. The entitlement and arrogance is strong there. There is never an excuse for shoplifting, no matter how hungry you are. Oh, and big surprise, most of the people who promise to do crime are….yup, you guessed it! Black!
Black people think they’re entitled to a living and they think that the loss of November’s benefits, and maybe even December’s, justifies stealing from others. Not so!
The good news is that a lot of retailers are prepared. Walmart has already arranged for armed guards and it is my sincere hope that they make an example out of a black person or two, even if that means people, including children, go hungry. Hopefully, thieves will be thrown into jail, where they will get a 90-day stay.
I don’t feel sorry for those people. I don’t care about starving adults and I certainly do not care about starving children. You reap what you sow, folks.
The people posting on TikTok should have been spending their time out in the real world looking for work rather than taking to social media to play the victim. It is my sincere hope that one or two get taken down by law enforcement. Then, hopefully, those who were thinking about doing the same will decide to not do so.
Whatever happened to being prepared? Whatever happened to savings accounts and going online to sell of property to pay for food? No, these people would rather victimize retailers and play the victim. Here’s hoping that one of those people encounters a police officer who feels threatened and then acts accordingly.
