My frequent readers, and there a lot of you, know that I often discuss the uncomfortable topic of World War III. I have written numerous articles on the matter. I’ve talked about how nuclear war will involve Russia and it could happen with no warning or it could happen by way of ominous signs that occur days before the event that will end the world.
Russia’s been slowly escalating over the past six months or so. Unfortunately, Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin, has decided to ramp things up today, even in the face of President Donald Trump’s efforts to extend an olive branch that Russia does not deserve. This time, Russian fighter jets invaded Lithiuana’s airspace.
Granted, the breach lasted for only 12-19 seconds or so, depending on which media outlet you’re perusing, but I posit that it was an obvious attempt at intimidation and a show of power. This is what I’ve discussed over the past year or so. It is more likely than not that seemingly minor things will start happening, giving people a potential chance at an early warning.
I’m speaking specifically of those Americans who have purchased what I call “condo bunkers.” Essentially, several companies have purchased decommissioned nuclear silos and then converted them into condominiums with all the amenities. The plan is that people will flock to their condos when things start getting bad. Is this most recent incident enough to warrant running to those silos? Only time will tell.
As for this new incident, it should give people pause, especially those who have those condos, condos which may or may not provide the atmosphere that their companies are hawking. But that’s another story and I’ve already linked to you to a previous article where I discuss that. So will people start running to those hideyholes? I don’t know as I am not an expert, but I will be honest and say that if I owned a unit, I would probably be packing my bags and be leaving, sooner rather than later.
One thing that we must keep in mind is the fact that Lithiuana is a NATO ally, meaning that if Russia launches an actual attack, Article V will kick in and we will be obligated to, along with our other allies, jump into the drama. At that point, World War III will start and when that happens, it’s not a case of if nuclear war will start, but when.
It’ll be interesting to see what Trump does with this information. He did try to sit down with Putin this week to try to work out a peace deal, but he cancelled at the last minute for vague reasons. This airspace invasion, albeit a brief one, might have showed Trump that Putin is clearly not interested in peace.
If Putin is preparing to fight an actual war, the whole world is in trouble. If there is nuclear warfare, it’s all over. Putin has threatened a swift and terrible response if we escalate things, but he’s been doing that for quite some time now and has not followed through on his threats. Perhaps that’s because he knows that we stand ready 24/7 to retaliate if he launches a nuclear strike.
Even though he knows the consequences, Putin has this week threatened to use nuclear missiles. To me, this shows that he’s serious about doing whatever it takes to satisfy his agenda. If that means the end of the world, then by his own words and deeds, Putin has showed the world that he doesn’t care.
This mentality has the potential to escalate things to the point where millions of lives will be lost. Putin has to be stopped, but we really can’t do that without angering him to the point where he launches a full-scale attack. He doesn’t seem to be interested in peace in any way, shape or form. The next few days will be telling.
I know that, in previous articles, I’ve written that the end is nigh, the end is nigh. Thankfully, I was not correct. I’m hoping that I’m also incorrect today. This most recent incident is a powder keg, and one misstep by any country could have dire consequences for humanity. Today, we are moving closer to a third world war, perhaps closer than what happened during the Cold War in 1983.
Unfortunately, I believe that this latest invasion is a harbinger of mass destruction and countless deaths. Again, I hope that I’m wrong. All we can do today is sit back and nervously watch for Putin’s next move. Here’s hoping that Trump uses the emergency satchel wisely if he is pushed into using it.
