As we all know by now, our federal government has shut down. It will remain so until at least Friday given that Democrat lawmakers have fled Washington like cockroaches away from light. The reality is that the shutdown may extend into next week given how far apart Republicans and Democrats are.
As a MAGA Republican, I stand firmly behind my people. It is the Democrats who are the cockroaches, looking out for only themselves and not the people whom they represent. The Republicans have always come to the table in good faith and with a desire to resolve the situation. Democrats? They don’t want a resolution.
Some of us believe in making America great again. Unfortunately for us, Democrats have no desire to improve our once great nation. Who pays the price for that? We do.
I firmly support our nation’s finest president, President Donald Trump and I also stand in harmony with Republican lawmakers and their sincere desire to do right by their fellow citizens. Unfortunately, the Democrats have caused our federal government to shut down, if even only for a few days.
It is quite possible that things will be resolved on Friday and the government can get up and running again. But it looks as if the Democrats are insistent upon being part of the problem. We Republicans? We are always part of the solution, something that falls on deaf ears when it comes to those evil Democrats.
Over the next few days, we will have to go without certain services. But what’s worse is the fact that thousands of federal workers will be going without a paycheck. Some are being forced to work without pay. That’s what you sign up for when you work for the federal government, and that’s why I had a chance to do so but smartly walked away.
There are quite a few government agencies and services that will continue to be available, but for how long depends on how long this shutdown ends up lasting. Thankfully, one of the most important agencies is up and running. Yes, ICE will still operate, meaning that illegals will continue to be rounded up and drop kicked back to where they originated from.
The fact that ICE is still out on the roads and in the cities is bad news for Jose and Lupe, but good news for those of us who were born here and therefore belong here. Those who weren’t born here really shouldn’t be allowed into our country, but that’s another article for another day.
Now, I sort of feel bad for the workers and their families, but at the same time, they knew what they were getting into and they knew that something like this would happen one day. Well, folks, that one day is here and the consequences of their choices have caught up with them. So, yeah, maybe I feel a little sympathy for them, but not much.
Let’s make this clear: this is the fault of the Democrats, not the Republicans. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
It will be interesting to see what comes of this shutdown. Will it end up lasting only a few days? A week? Two weeks? Even a month? It’s anyone’s guess at this point.
