Is Russia preparing for WWIII?

My frequent readers know that I often write about the topic of World War III, and with good reason.  The evidence that the long-awaited conflict is all around us, and big surprise here, Russia is involved.  So it is today, and Russia is, as usual, threatening war.  Of course they are doing so while engaging in shady behavior.

Russia’s military aircraft and their drones have been quite busy lately.  They are invading the airspace of numerous countries, sparking scrambling and preparations for war.  Airspace over Poland, Estonia and Romania has recently been invaded by Russia and that should be taken seriously.  Russia, of course, is denying everything as opposed to accepting accountability for provocative behavior that could be interpreted as a declaration of war.

Poland is so scared, and rightfully so, that they are preparing to institute a policy of “shoot first, ask questions later.”  No one can blame them for that, especially when the aggressor is Russia, a country that has openly threatened nuclear war on numerous occasions. We all have to take them seriously, because we, as a NATO nation, must be prepared.  If Russia attacks one of our NATO allies, we pretty much have to jump in because of Article V.

Russia is presently engaging in suspicious behavior on the seas as well, and the United Kingdom is on alert as a result.

Is Russia planning something, or are they just looking for attention?  Given that they’ve threatened to launch their nukes on several occasions and have not followed through, it’s highly likely that they’re willing to put their money where their mouth is.  In other words, Russia, make good on your threats or stand down.

As we all know, Russia invaded Poland on September 17, 1939.  Given that, the country does have every right to believe that Russia may pull a similar stunt here in 2025.  And if Russia will do that to Poland, it’s reasonable to assume that their recent scare tactics might be a precursor to another invasion.

After all, Russia has invaded Ukraine for several years now, so it clearly has the means and willingness to engage in hostile behavior.  The question is: will the United States become involved?

Right now, as it stands, if Russia invades Poland right now, it concerns us.  Estonia and Romania too.  And, yes, the United Kingdom is on the list of allies as well, even though they should be considered our bitter enemy.

There’s nothing we can do at this point but sit and wait.  Russia knows better than to even try to invade our airspace.  If they try to flirt with flying over Alaska, something that the former Russian Empire owned until 1867, they’ll regret it.  If they try to mess with Hawaii, we’ll react to that as well.  And should they dare to try to invade CONUS airspace, they’ll find out rather quickly that such a move is not wise.

Over the years, Russia has made numerous threats.  They have yet to follow through on any of them.  That being said, their recent appetite for airspace invasion should be taken seriously.  This is how things get started after all.  First they play chicken, and then they escalate things to the detriment of numerous countries and their people.

There’s a reason why our government has willingly made the details of a nuclear attack against us so public: they want the world to know not to mess with the USA.  Russia knows that if they launch against us, we’ll end them in a matter of minutes.  Of course, that means that they would end us as well, which is why Russia has done nothing.  They know not to strike against us.

Numerous television shows have written what they hope are realistic depictions of what we’d do if Russia launched against us.  A lot of it is Hollywood fiction, with a little bit of truth mixed in.

When something bad happens and we’re involved, that annoying but mandatory Emergency Alert System will kick in.  When that happens, it’s pretty much all over.

Maybe these other countries should band together and come up with a way to show Russia that harassing them will not be taken lying down.  What you do with bullies is you stand up to them.  Bullies are cowards.  Russia is and always has been a bully nation, and its leaders, especially President Vladimir Putin, are cowards.

If Putin actually had any balls, he’d actually make good on Russia’s threats and he would happily launch their nukes against us or someone else.  But they haven’t.  They won’t.  Brave warriors act, cowards shrink.  Thus far, Russia is a nation of cowards, cowards that will never make good on their nuclear threats.

Given that Russia is a cowardly nation, all it will take is one brave country, most likely Poland, to stand up and fight back against its airspace invasion campaign, and Russia will run away like a Mexican man from paying child support.

Is Russia just playing games or are their recent activities a warning of what’s about to happen?  The world is watching.
