What was Hyundai trying to pull anyway?

There is some good news to report: it would appear that around 475 illegals were busted in a massive immigration raid that took place yesterday.  It happened yesterday at Hyundai’s huge complex in Georgia.

Right away the question is this: how does such a raid take place at a large employer’s job site in the USA anyway?  As a major employer, they should be verifying their employees’ status before allowing them to start work.  As a small employer myself at one time, I always used E-Verify even when I hired people I knew to be citizens, or at least capable of working here legally.  The rules applied to me, so why do the rules not apply to them?

But that’s an article for another day.

Clearly, the raid was a success given the number of illegals that will soon be kicked out of our fair country.  Everyone who got arrested seems to have deserved it.  They were living and/or working here illegally or were here legally at one point but ignored the law when it came time for them to leave on their own.

There’s no reason to feel sorry for them.  I couldn’t care less about them and I certainly don’t care about their counterfeit families.  Each and every one of them knew what they were doing and they blatantly gave our laws the finger.  Well, guess what?  Now they are getting the finger and that finger is pointed squarely at the exit sign.

What I find funny is that many of them tried to flee.  Their efforts were in vain.  What’s even funnier than that is that some of them were so intent on escaping accountability that they ran into raw sewage.  Well, crap happens, especially when you’re here illegally!  I hope they inhaled some of that sewage.

Others who fled tried to do so ran into the water despite being unable to swim.  I’ll bet that was fun to watch!

It seems that none of the illegals were direct employees of the Hyundai, but were contractors and subcontractors.  That bodes well for the company, but the onus is on them to verify that their contractors are operating legally.  Clearly, they failed and they should absolutely be held accountable for their obvious failures.

“As of today, it is our understanding that none of those detained is directly employed by Hyundai Motor Company. We prioritize the safety and well-being of everyone working at the site and comply with all laws and regulations wherever we operate.”

That is a quote from their spokesman.  I find that quote to be funny.  If I still ran my company, albeit a small one, I would absolutely inspect the contractors’ books to ensure that their hiring practices are legal.  So did Hyundai know what was going on and did they simply choose to play dumb?  My opinion?  Yes, absolutely.  Now that they’ve been exposed, things are going to have to change immediately.

Hopefully, all of the companies involved will be heavily sanctioned.  They allowed jobs to go to people who do not deserve them.  They took food out of Americans’ mouths.  For that, all of them should be soundly punished.  In fact, I think it’s time for Hyundai’s CEO to step down, so that someone who cares about legal hiring practices can take over.

The famous company LG may also be involved as part of the campus was a joint business arrangement between the auto company and LG.  Of course, LG isn’t talking and I believe that at least a few of the captured criminals were hired with the knowledge of LG.  Sure, maybe LG didn’t hire them directly, but come on now…they had to know something, just like Hyundai had to know.

Numerous law enforcement agencies were involved and they all did a hell of a job!  The operation was a clean one, right down to valid warrants.  That means that no slimeball attorney can successfully stop the illegals’ upcoming deportations.

Lest you think that this was an attack on those poor little Mexicans who are merely trying to send money home to their families, South Korean illegals were also snagged, and I’m sure citizens of other countries will soon be returned to where they never should have left in the first place.

It’s beyond me why so many people are so intent on coming to our country in the first place.  They don’t belong here.  Why do they insist on breaking the law?  Why do they pull so many stunts to stay here?  Just go home and call it a day!  I love it when an illegal is arrested and then deported.  I love seeing them torn away from their ill-gotten families.  I love seeing the children and spouses left behind cry!

This latest bust shows that our country is no longer rolling over.  If you’re an illegal, regardless of your nationality, sooner or later, your number will be up!  Too bad these clowns didn’t get that memo!
