Remember a few days ago when I bitched about SiriusXM putting out incorrect information for 2 Unlimited’s “Get Ready for This,” now known as “Get Ready?” That, by the way, is a long story. Anyway, I made it clear that I was going to make things happen, and I used my powers for good, not evil.
Well, someone listened. On the way home from the mall a couple of hours ago, the song came on. I looked (yes, at a traffic light) and sure enough, it now states the correct year. The artwork, though, has been replaced with their default thumbnail. That’s slightly disappointing, but I’ll take the victory, a victory for 2 Unlimited.
Ray (the only original performer left) and I may have had our falling out for reasons that I will keep private, but I will still fight for 2 Unlimited wherever needed in the USA. If I have to make phone calls, I will. If I have to send out email messages, I will do so.
Yes, I founded their US fan club and ran it until I disbanded it in 1996 when the original performers (Ray and the irreplaceable Anita). That was a long time ago, but I still feel the need to get them any and all exposure that’s possible on this side of the pond.
It just goes to show….when you know the right people, things get DONE, especially when you bitch about it on your blog and email them a chance for a comment.
As for SiriusXM’s corrections, well, I was ready, ready, ready for this!
