Have fun, but do it responsibly

My longtime readers know that I have absolutely no tolerance for drunk driving.  I don’t associate with people do it and I don’t care about excuses, because there is never any acceptable reason to do that, especially in an era of Uber, friends and, on holidays, free rides.

Given that the holiday weekend is upon us, we can expect arrogant, malicious and downright evil people to selfishly drive while drunk.  But if they do so here in the Albany area, they will have no excuse for putting people in danger.  That’s because a local law firm is helping pay for drunkards’ rides.

Harding Mazzotti LLP will be doling out $20 vouchers to be used for Uber rides.  These vouchers will be available until supplies run out and will be available to drunkard lushes in Albany, Binghamton, Plattsburgh, Syracuse, and Utica.

Look, people should not be drinking anyway.  That’s disgusting, evil and downright filthy.  But if people going to do that, now they have one less excuse.

The vouchers will be up for grabs starting at noon Monday and ending at midnight.

Drunkards can redeem the vouchers that will save innocent lives through the firm’s website or social media profiles.  However, when I attempted to verify the availability of these vouchers through their site, I was met with absolutely nothing pertaining to the offer.

Every year, innocent people pay the ultimate price for the malicious choices of those who can’t stop drinking the devil’s juice.  That shouldn’t be.  If anyone deserves to die, it’s the people who drink to begin with, especially those who drive away with full knowledge that what what they are doing is pretty much murder.
