Albany child cancer victim loses battle

Stories about people dying of cancer are absolutely heartbreaking, but it’s especially sad when a child dies far too young.  So it is, sadly, with one Lucas Polsinelli, 12.  Albany’s local ABC affiliate reported today that Polsinelli suffered from “B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia at the Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at Albany Medical Center.”

My articles are typically lengthy, but in this situation, there’s not much to be said.  Having had a cancer scare myself, I can tell you that such an experience is not pleasant.  It’s a true tragedy that this youth will not be there to celebrate life’s milestones.  I can’t even imagine the pain that his family and friends are going through right now.
