Here in Albany, dirt bikes as well as ATV’s are a serious problem, serious to the point where local law enforcement agencies are seizing them. They’re loud and they’re dangerous. With that in mind, it’s hard to believe that teenagers in the area are still using them.
A dirt bike has cost a teenager her life, a person who local media outlets are not naming. The incident took place last night in Schenectady, a city next to Albany. The local CBS affiliate has, at the time that this article was published, stated that she was seriously injured, with the local NBC affiliate that is far more reliable reporting that she is deceased.
The local ABC affiliate is likewise reporting that the 17-year-old operator of the ATV as died of her injures, making the CBS affiliate, one of the first television stations in the world, the only one to not have updated their story as of the publication of this article.
Searches on local stations’ Facebook page and on Reddit have yielded any results as pertains to her name, but the lack of a name being released is not a big deal.
Look, here is the thing: you play stupid games and you win stupid prices. This girl was literally retarded for pulling such a stunt. She could have injured innocent people. That must not be forgotten. I have no problem with her dying, because that means Albany is a little bit safer having lost one of those ATV monsters who threatened pedestrians and motorists alike.
She was such a retard that she plowed into a chain barrier that was installed at the park. Surely she saw it coming and surely she had enough time to slam on the brakes. But no…she chose to be stupid and for that, she got rewarded with a hole that will be six feet deep, right where she belongs.
