When I was running for the office of mayor here in Albany, one of my campaign goals was to work with ICE and rid our city of any and all illegals. Whenever I hear a news story of an illegal being caught and sent home, I get giddy. So it is today with one Ximena Arias-Cristobal, a Mexican in Georgia who is not in our country legally.
She is being prepared to be sent back home to Mexico following a traffic stop. What makes this even funnier is that a further investigation showed that she should not have been pulled over in the first place. As a result, any and all charges pertaining to the stop that took place last week have been dropped, but she is still trapped by ICE.
In regards to the mistaken stop and arrest, her attorney whined, “It’s just heartbreaking that a mistake by a police officer cost this person her freedom ultimately and may cost her her residency in the United States.” No, this person cost herself her residency. She shouldn’t have been here to begin with!
Oh, and there’s one other small thing that her supporters don’t want you to know: she has no license. Driving without a valid license is never a good idea and only bad things can come of it. Sure, you might get away with it nine times out of ten, but it’s that tenth time that’ll nail you. This time was probably her tenth time.
As it turns out, driving without a license in her state nets you a trip to jail. Some states, such as New York, will pull you over, ticket you and tow your car, but unless there are aggravating circumstances, you’ll be free to walk home. That opportunity was not available to her.
What makes this story even more hilarious is that her father is locked up in the same facility as she is. Like daddy, like daughter, because he too is in there for an alleged traffic offense. He too is being prepared to be sent home, a place that both her and this girl should have never left!
Her next court date is on the 20th, and it is at that hearing that she will learn whether or not she’ll be freed pending further action,
I don’t feel bad reading stories like this. She has no business being in our country and she deserves everything that’s happening to her. I am thankful to President Trump and to ICE for doing their part to rid this country of the scourge known as illegals.
