Another Conduent update

I can tell by my statistics software that people are still dropping by to read about my experience working at Conduent, which performs child support tasks for New York State out of 1205 Troy-Schenectady Road in Latham, which is a suburb of Albany.  If you are not familiar with the story, you can read the entire saga.

According to a post on Reddit made anonymously but by someone whose initials are almost certainly KV based on her writing style, I and the little ol’ article caused a sort of mass panic and some of them didn’t want to turn up at work.  Good. They deserve every bit of that.

If something like that, or some other emergency occurs, it will be because the back door found when one passes the glass door and hangs a right.  That’s not private information, by the way.  Just common sense. Of course, by now, if they’re smart, there is a security guard posted, but it did feel good to publicly post information about a that.

In that article, you can see that I exposed numerous vulnerabilities and the fact that the extremely sensitive data pertaining to millions of non-custodial parents is at risk of being misused given the fact that said data is in people’s homes, where that information can be viewed by anyone.

As of the time that this article was published, the Conduent story is on my front page, exposing them greatly given that the article currently has 100,001 views. Good ol’ Michael Crook has exposed a good reason for the state to not renew their contract with Conduent.

Whomever posted that Reddit comment claimed that the “correct authorities” have been informed.  She told no lie.  Yes, this site was crawling with law enforcement agencies, and the article is still up.  I’ve been visited by no one.  Why?  Because I’ve done nothing illegal!  But nice try!

I’ve received many emails asking me to take everything down. Cute. One person wrote, “you are putting our lives in danger!”  Not my intent, but not my problem.  Another offered $50. I cannot be bought.  Still another wrote, “Okay, you made your point!”  I haven’t even have started making my point!

Some people assume that just because I’m not posting daily updates, that means I’ve given up.  Not so!  Lawsuits, especially class-action, take time.  Also, accountability is best when it’s thrust upon someone ice cold.
