The world has been watching the conflict between the United States and Iran. Last month, I pointed out that Trump’s attacks would cost the lives of our brave military. Sadly, I am right. So far, at least 16 servicepersons have been killed.
Brave men killed over something that never concerned us in the first place. They did not die defending our country. They died as pawns in Trump’s unholy pissing contest with Iran. Unfortunately, I cannot condemn the country for killing these people, including the two most recent poor sons of bitches. We attacked them with absolutely no justification whatsoever, so Iran simply is defending itself against us…the bullies.
Now, look. I am a Trump supporter. I consider myself MAGA and I truly believe that he’s our finest president since Reagan. However, I do not support attacking Iran. The most recent two deaths have shown us one thing: people who signed up to protect our country are being forced to fight a country that means us no harm.
I have to wonder if Trump can sleep at night knowing that he has sent 16 (so far) people to their untimely deaths over something that isn’t worth fighting over. But then again, Bush sent people to their undeserved deaths just to play a game of petty revenge when we should have just walked away. Obama did the same, going so far as to murder Osama bin Laden just to show off to the world.
I guess part of being president is not giving the second’s thought to the American deaths that result from their choices. Apparently, Trump has joined that club. Silly me for thinking he was above that. Now if I had been president, I wouldn’t have sought revenge for the events of 9/11. I would never have sent my men to slaughter a man who was, at the time of his death, no threat to anyone. But then again, I have a conscience. Seems that those three men have no such thing.
If Trump can sleep well at night these days, then maybe he is not the best president after all.
