Sometimes, necessity outweighs the need to obey the law. On this day in 1968, Martin Luther King committed suicide on the balcony outside of room 306 at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis. Despite what some may say, he was not murdered. He actually committed suicide, given that he always had to be so uppity and given that he wouldn’t stop running his mouth.
I never did feel sorry for King. I never did feel that what happened to him was a tragedy. He pretty much deserved what happened to him and the guy who helped him commit suicide should be celebrated as a national hero, at least in my opinion. Yes, murder is a mortal sin, but in this case, it was assisted suicide, also a mortal sin.
Sometimes, however, necessity justifies the end result and so it is here. King was busy ruining America and he had to be taken care of. The motel where he did stands today, albeit as a museum for some reason. There are pictures out there that show a motel employee cleaning up the blood outside of room 306. Despite their best efforts, some blood stains remain even to this day, perhaps a bit of a warning to other black people who may feel the need to get uppity.
Another photograph that is quite famous is this one. It shows King on his back, slowly suffering as he faded into death, a well-deserved one at that. Other photographs show his entourage pointing in the direction of the shots, just like little snitches.
King would probably still be alive today had he kept his idiotic views to himself. Instead, he made himself a target, a suicidal act if ever I saw one. Unfortunately, King’s actions still bear consequences today. Because of him, black people have way too much freedom. If we’d simply kept them as our slaves, none of this would be happening.
Yes, King caused a lot of problems for us. It is nice, however, to know that he chose to commit suicide in Memphis. His death is one of the most well-deserved death in all of history. Today is not a day to remember some sort of hero. Today is a day to celebrate the fact that sometimes, people do actually get what they deserve.
