We kill drug dealers dead!

You don’t mess around with the United States of America.  You just don’t, especially when you’re trying to sneak things into our country that will kill people.  So it is in the matter of a drug smuggler who tried to sneak illicit drugs across our border.  He wasn’t counting on a heroic border patrol agent who meant business.

Agents in Rio Grande, Texas noticed a group of drug smugglers and engaged them.  During a hand-to-hand battle, an agent was left with no other choice than to neutralize a threat that would have caused a lot of American deaths.  Unfortunately for the smuggling thug, that neutralization meant he would die.

The confrontation took place a couple of days ago, and as is usually the case, the Texas Rangers are investigating, but this seems to be a matter of an agent fearing for his life, and rightfully so.  Smugglers will stop at nothing to sneak into our country.

I should point out that I don’t feel sorry for the junkies who partake of the smugglers’ wares, because they chose to use drugs and they chose to become addicts.  However, I also don’t want illicit drugs to make it into our fine country.  That’s why I think that all the killing that’s been done by our military to people trying to sneak drugs in by water is highly justified.

I definitely don’t feel any sympathy (big surprise, I know!) for the smugglers.  The story goes that most of them are being manipulated or lied to.  Still, that’s no excuse.  They’re grown adults who know that actions have consequences.  They had a choice: do the right thing and refuse or do the wrong thing and possibly pay with their lives.

Was it really worth it to that scumbag smuggler?  Was this so important to him that he was willing to die for the cause?  Sadly, it looks like he knew what he was doing, did it anyway and then fooled around and found out.

In this case, what agents thought was bullets flying was really noise at a construction site.  That doesn’t change the fact that the smuggler was trying to kill Americans and the only way to prevent that was to take him out.  I am certain that the agent will be cleared.  He did what he had to do: take out the trash by any means necessary.
