There are many Michael Crook websites.  You have clicked onto mine.  There are many like it, but this one is mine.  Without me, my website is useless.  Without my website, I am useless.  Out of the many Michael Crooks that come up when you conduct a Google search, I am the blogger and writer who is from Albany, New York.

Having previously lived in Mays Landing, New Jersey, Las Vegas and Syracuse, New York, I have called Albany home since 2013.

I’m most recently known as the guy who tried to run for the office of mayor in Albany, the only candidate to step forward while being politically unaffiliated in a city run by Democrats.  No one with no party affiliation has run for mayor in many years.  Too bad I didn’t have a chance to see it through.

Unfortunately, in late March of 2025, I was forced to withdraw due to health issues that would have made it impossible to serve a full first term had I pulled a rabbit out of a hat and won.

My professional background is full of variety.  In the past, I have worked in the broadcast engineering field and I have managed programming and traffic in the past for a small television station.  I have also worked in the insurance industry and in retail management.  Presently, I am a freelance writer.

Personally speaking, I am a devout Catholic as I have been since 2022, when I was baptized and confirmed.  Prior to that, I was in the Mormon church from 1987-2022.  I fell for the church’s false doctrine and lies until I came to my senses.  I was born into the Seventh-day Adventist faith, but thankfully never got baptized into that hot mess.

I live with my wife of 21+ years and our two lively cats.
