My, I’ve been quiet on the blog over the past week, haven’t I? I’ve been doing a lot of behind-the-scenes work and am busy with some things that I can’t reveal at this moment. In the coming days and weeks, however, things will start moving. You’ll just have to keep catching back, or you can subscribe to my newsletter.
Just so you know, things won’t start really heating up until April. On April 15, I can start getting signatures on the petition that I’ll need in order to get on the ballot. Though it’s months away, I will be ramping up my campaign much sooner than that.
The things that I have planned will, I think, get me ahead of my opponents, if even only by a little bit. I am aware of my opponents, and I know that I have my work cut out for me. They know the right people and that may turn out to be more important than competency.
No, I don’t know the right people. I don’t have the right connections. I’m not already in city politics. I’ve never had a silver spoon in my mouth, unlike those opponents of mine. But that just makes me the better choice. I prioritize people over parties (I am not tied to any political party). I am an everyday citizen going through the same struggles that most residents go through.
In the not-too-distant future, I will really start getting my message out there. I can’t reveal my plans so as to tip off my competition, but when it happens, people will see who should really be mayor. And, yeah…that’s me.
Keep checking back! In the meantime, check out the goals that I intend to accomplish when I become mayor.
