I realize that football is a brutal sport, especially high school games. I also realize that punk teenagers will do what teenagers will do: get violent. That’s what happened recently at the beginning of a game in Portland, Oregon, the place of my birth, between Grant and Jefferson. Without justification, a player maliciously ran towards the Grant player who was on the field, holding the American flag.
Anonymous sources have told me that the Jefferson player in question is known for his anti-American views. When he saw the flag being carried, he allegedly flew into a rage and, with malice in his heart, slammed onto the field and took the player down and apparently stomped the flag.
I have spoken with Jefferson’s representative, or at least someone who claimed to be, and they confirmed that no action will be taken whatsoever. “We believe in free speech, and this was merely one of our students expressing his First Amendment opinions,” the person confirmed via a personal email account.
The anti-American player was allowed to play in the game. The player who did the shoving is black and the victim is White. Because of that, he will face no accountability whatsoever, because he will claim that he’s the victim of racial discrimination. Unfortunately, that’s the way things are going in America.
As we can see here, when a black person commits an act of violence, they get a party. When a White person does the same, the cries to burn them at the stake immediately go out.
Actually, this is a blatant case of racism and perhaps even a hate crime. The player saw the American flag of the country for which he obviously has no gratitude and, it seems to me, saw the chance to assault a White person because of his clear and dangerous hatred towards Whites. There is no other explanation.
The hateful Jefferson player should lose any college scholarships and wind up flipping burgers or throwing trash into a truck. That would be the best place for someone like him.
The fact that the school has apparently confirmed that it will take no action tells me that they tolerate traitors and violent bigots. I have given the appropriate people a chance to give the school’s position, but they have refused to do so. That speaks volumes.
