Things that I do not regret

Lots of people regret the things that they have done in life.  I, of course, am no different.  However, I do have a list of things that I have done that I do not regret and never will regret, even when the consequences were very harsh.

  • I had rather advanced knowledge that there were plans in the works for “the worst attack on your country ever” back in 1999 when I briefly served in the Army.  I could have reported the fellow recruit and there was only a little but enough information to stop 9/11 bef0re it even started, but they booted me out for medical reasons, so I quite frankly didn’t care, even if lives would be lost.  I was not expecting 2,800 though.  Still, this truly happened.  I have information that the FBI or whatever can use to validate all of this.
  • I promised to stand over a co-worker and watch him die.  That one got me fired.  I would have had to quit two days later, but I went ahead and exposed their safety and security protocols just to dick with them.
  • I stood idle while a co-worker at another job collapsed and needed immediate CPR.  I watched with some degree of amusement. I was the only other person in the room until a few minutes later.  She did not know CPR and went into a panic when the 911 dispatcher tried to guide her.  The person who needed the CPR did not survive.  In this state, I was not required to render aid.
  • A teenage girl was so engrossed in her precious iPhone that she kept her head down all the way into the road on the red hand.  You can guess what happened next.  Up she went and down she came, dying instantly when her head impacted the ground.  I walked away laughing.  The crack sounded pretty intense.
  • When I managed a retail store, I was locking up before I brought down the registers.  She was crying and whatever, asking if we had baby formula..  We did, of course, but I didn’t want to deal with her, so I just told her no.  She was holding the crying baby, but I brought down the gate and walked away.

Those are just a few things.  There are some more, but this will do for now.
