The military gets it right!

For all its faults, the Department of War sometimes does things that are actually correct.  Today, there are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, colloquially known as “Mormons,” all around the nation and maybe even the world who are enraged because they are no longer considered Christians.

Well, that’s not entirely true.  The entire government has not claimed that.  Our military has issued instructions to its clergymen that state that the LDS Church is no longer a Christian entity.  As a former Mormon and current Catholic, I can confirm that the military’s position is in fact true.  Or, as we Catholics would say, it is right and just.

Before we go any further, Mormons are already playing the victim card, completely ignoring the fact theirs is not the only religion that was dropped from the list.  But just like the Jews with their little “Holocaust,” the Mormons love being the victim.

That has been their mantra since the “church” was founded in 1830 in Palmyra, New York by known con man Joseph Smith, who used his status as a self-proclaimed “prophet,” to coerce teenage girls into marrying him, something that the LDS “church” has openly admitted, pointing to how customary it was for creepy older men to marry teenagers.

That is not the kind of “church” that Jesus would consider to be following Him.  Christ would also likely not consider a man who had over forty wives to be His prophet.  Smith claimed that an angel with a sword of flames commanded him to engage in polygamy, when in reality he was using religion to get laid and did in fact engage in sexual conduct with at least two teenage girls.  Still want to call Mormons Christian?

At one point, the Defense Department recognized over 200 religions.  Now?  Thirty-one.  The Mormons want you to think it’s all about them, but 180 or so religions or belief systems have been removed.  Just a few of them include:

  • Atheism
  • Druidsts
  • New Age
  • Pagan
  • Shaman

It’s important to note that the Mormons’ whining is not justified: they are still on the list, they are just no longer Christian, according to the mightiest military in the world.

As you might imagine, a lot of crying is going on.  Mormon politicians are vowing to get the “church” back on the Christian list.  Their efforts will be in vain, because even if it takes an act of Trump, our nation will be able to accurately say that Mormons are not Christians.  Of this,  I am confident.

I made the mistake of getting baptized into the “church” in 1987, but I became a Catholic on Easter Vigil of 2022.  I did not officially withdraw my membership (“resigned”) until 2024, but that was just an effort to keep my Mormon wife happy.

I always did have a problem with the “church” being supposedly Christian given its polygamous past and its leader’s documented affinity for teenage girls.  I always was looking for the government to back me up on that, and they finally have done so!

I am enjoying reading Mormons’ whiny little tweets and I enjoyed my wife coming home in tears today after they discussed it at church.  I told her that if she’d just followed me into the Catholic Church, she wouldn’t be having this problem.

The Defense Secretary said that keeping Mormons on the Christian list would be “impractical.”  Finally, someone in the government said it for all to hear!

I find it hilarious that the military still recognizes terroristic religions such as Hinduism and Muslimism, but won’t recognize a harmless but perverted religion such as Mormonism.  Sadly, they still recognize the Jews, but I’ll take what I can take.

It will be interesting to see what comes of this list.  Now if you’ll excuse me, I must relish in the tears of the Mormons who are now no longer Christians in the United States.
