It’s been a few days since I last posted a blog entry, so I thought that I would today give some updates on my campaign. Yes, I am still in the race, and, much to the chagrin to certain parties in Albany, I am not going anywhere.
The first update is that, as it says on the homepage, I will next month be holding a petition drive. In order to proceed to the general election (I will not appear on the primary ballot because I am part of no party), I must have 1,201 valid signatures between April 15th and May 24th. Everyone’s help is needed. I will update the website to reflect the details in a few weeks.
As I pointed out before, my opponents all have issues that, I think, precludes them from effectively serving as your mayor. I have no such issues, though I did in the past. But that is in the past. I don’t live there anymore.
What other updates are there?
- I have updated the website to reflect new goals and information.
- I have withdrawn my suggestion to cut the library system’s budget.
- I have changed the layout and navigation trees of this website.
- I have massively updated my plans in regards to illegals. If you haven’t read that page recently, or not at all, you may wish to do so.
There will be few if any updates leading up through mid-April. At that point, things will get lively as I pursue those mandatory signatures from mid-April through late May. Then, assuming that I gather the mandatory 1,201 signatures, my campaign will pretty much go silent until the day after the primary election.
If I do not get those signatures, I will at that point call it a day, walk away, lick my wounds and then find something else to occupy my time. But for now, and until the petition drive, there’s not much for me to say or do.
When it comes to doing heavy campaigning right now, right this very moment, there is no point to purchasing TV and radio time and there is no point in purchasing lawn signs, fliers and such until the race to the general election cycle begins in June. Why do all that now when I won’t appear on the ballot until November?
Just be aware that if you do vote in the primary and do not see my name, I did not take my toys and stomp off and go home.
Yes, in June, things will really heat up, both weatherwise and with my campaign. I am prepared for a brutal, merciless, dirty and downright aggressive campaign. It will be a figurative bloodbath!
No matter who my opponents wind up being in the general election, I am prepared. None of them are qualified (one of them has major skeletons in his closet that I hope to expose the week before the primary) and I will show that over the summer and into the early fall.
So, check back here on April 15th for information on how you can help me qualify for the November ballot!
