Bad Russia! To bed without supper!

Things have been increasingly escalating over the past few days, and Russia is to blame and its drones might just cause World War III.  First, Russian drones invaded Poland’s airspace with no provocation.  Thankfully, Poland kicked Russia’s ass by downing their drones.  Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin, likely saw red.

Now we have the same stunt but Romania is being harassed.  At one point, what was then the Soviet Union invaded Poland and the two countries have always had a tense relationship, especially during the Cold War.

For our part, we will defend both Poland and Romania.  Why?  Because both countries are part of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, better known simply as NATO, as is our fine nation.  It looks as if Article V is kicking in, which in simplest terms means an attack on one NATO ally is an attack on all, and that might mean things will get far, far worse before they get better.

Russia seems to be ready to attack any nation, so unfortunately, it may be a matter of time before another country is invaded by a Russian drone or perhaps something even worse.  What is Russia’s end game here?  What is Putin trying to accomplish?  How far is he ready to take this, knowing that he will bring on the wrath of all NATO nations?

I, a simple blogger from Albany, New York, don’t have the answers.  I do, however, have some thoughts on the matter.  Perhaps Russia is testing the waters.  It’s quite possible that they have something infinitely worse in store.  But surely Russia’s seeing that NATO allies will stick together.  Maybe that will quiet him down.  Maybe not.

Poland has made history.  It is the first NATO nation to fire since Russia’s unjustified and brutal invasion of Ukraine.  It’s a shame that it’s come down to that, but if it doesn’t stop, Russia will find itself on the wrong side of history.  The wrong section in future high school history textbooks.

As for Romania, the most recent of Russia’s targets, it scrambled its fighter jets, showing that they will not take such attacks lightly.  Surely Putin had to know that people would fight back if he did something like this.  If he doesn’t order his military forces to stand down, he might find out the hard way that his country will find itself like that high school bully who picks on the wrong freshman: with a black eye and a kick to the family jewels.

Of course, we do have to stop and acknowledge that Russia has the most nuclear warheads of any nation, even more than ours.  Putin seems to be mentally unbalanced and if he finds that things aren’t going his way, he might just start launching nukes.  But then again, he knows that we are a force to be reckoned with when it comes to nuclear warfare, so maybe his little temper tantrum is coming to a close.

The way I figure it, Putin isn’t going anywhere.  He and his military will soon attack another innocent nation, a country that has done nothing to provoke an attack.  Which country is next?  He seems to be targeting countries that are geographically adjacent to his, or at least close by.  With that in mind, I am predicting that Kazakhstan might just be the one.

From 1936 on to its 1991 collapse, the Soviet Union claimed that country as one of its own.  That might be one reason for Putin to pursue Kazakhstan.  Also, it is the ninth largest country in the world, making it a highly valuable target.  There have been rumors of a Russian attack against the country that is merely minding its own business for at least a year now, but of course no attack has occurred.  Given Russia’s latest activities, that may very well change, sooner rather than later.

Romania is standing up for itself.  Jets have been scrambled and its military is on high alert.  They are not taking this sitting down.  Maybe Russia thought that they’d just roll over and take it, but they’re finding out the hard way that people and countries are not to be trifled with.  For example, Ukraine sent over a drone that struck a Russian oil refinery.

What if we have to act?  What if we have to take things to the ultimate level?  Bad things will happen, for example, if we invade Russia.  It’s like a techno song from the 1990’s said: Russia better stand down, or we will attack, and they don’t want that.  We’ve got the power!

As for Russia, it might behoove them to take their recent spankings as a sign to settle down and shut up.  I highly doubt, however, that that will happen, leaving us all to wonder what’s coming next.  As I’ve written before numerous times, World War III could very well be happening right now, or the events that will lead up to it are happening now.  Either way, you might want to go to Confession and be absolved of any mortal sins you haven’t resolved.

You can read my rantings on the topic of the third world war by going to the search page and by searching my past articles on the matter.  Today, it’s drones.  Tomorrow, it could be nukes.

There’s nothing we regular people can do, folks.  Praying the rosary and saying intentions at Mass can only take us so far.  At this point, there’s naught to do but sit back and see how this all plays out.
