Over the years, I have oft written about World War III. I warned readers that there would be warning signs immediately preceding devastating nuclear confrontations. The conflict that our president decided we should have is such a sign, especially since Iran has powerful nuclear friends.
Well, as Jeff Foxworthy would say, here’s your sign: the State Department has warned Americans by way of a travel advisory around the world that they should come home before flights get canceled and Americans become stranded in Iran. What American would stay in Iran or anywhere else in the Middle East things as severely escalate and elsewhere in the Middle East, like countries such as countries that align themselves with Iran? Russia, North Korea and Venezuela, I’m looking at you!
Those countries could easily launch a nuclear first strike in retaliation for what is yet another conflict that the United States. We should absolutely be scared right now. Or at the very least, concerned.
The Statement has this to say in the level 4 advisory:
“Do not travel to Iran for any reason. U.S. citizens in Iran should leave immediately. U.S. citizens are at risk due to terrorism, civil unrest, kidnapping, arbitrary detention of U.S. citizens, torture, and wrongful detention.”
Well…duh.
The State Department also advised that Americans have been wrongfully detained, but Iran doesn’t honor the United States’ laws pertaining that. Apparently, Americans have already fallen victim to Iran’s cruelty.
Again, any American who remains in Iran has got to be extremely obtuse or they have a death wish. Right about now, Americans are valuable pawns in what is quicky becoming World War III.
Iran is likely hunting for Americans right now. Russia would consider us a negotiation tool, but we don’t negotiate with terrorists. Ukraine considers us an ally, so we’re safe there but for the Russian military salivating at the thought of capturing an American, but Iran wants us more. In Iran, simply having a US passport is considered good cause for being detained.
We targeted and severely damaged a desalination plant yesterday, a plant that is actually in Kuwait but obviously serves a portion of Iran. A desalination plant filters out unsafe elements and turns the water from being unsafe to drink to being completely squared away for drinking, bathing, cooking and so forth. To put it another way: when that plant got hit, lots of people lost access to water.
We also took out a critical bridge, Even so, the actual Iranian losses have to be way lower than what they claim. Their claims are not possible. Just like the claim that six million Jews died in the Holocaust, the math isn’t adding up.
According to the BBC, our military has denied that Iran claims we destroyed their water. We didn’t destroy it, but we clearly affected the infrastructure. This wasn’t our first rodeo in regards to attacking the source of water for many. We did this on March 7th as well.
Right now, we seem to be getting bits and pieces information. Iran is telling one tale and we’re telling another. I’m willing to bet that X is lit up with self-professed military experts pontificating as if they actually know what is really happening
At this point, there’s truth on one side and propaganda on the other. We are being called monsters and there have been threats of major retaliation. At the very least, we possibly negatively compromised their water supply.
Now, it’s important to bear in mind that Iran has reported to the world by way of social media. To hear them tell it, 10,000 Iranians in 20 villages saw their water supply taken away from them. More than likely, that unrealistic claim is just Iranian propaganda, an attempt to get sympathy and make us look like monsters. Well, it should come as no surprise that the propaganda machine is at full speed in regards to the numbers and the math.
Again: we did not destroy the plant. We merely compromised it. The resulting fires were brought under control and operations weren’t disrupted. That says to me that the water never stopped flowing, and that’s why the Iranian propaganda campaign is in full sympathy mode, truth be damned.
Let’s be realistic here: I think the damage we caused was nowhere near as bad as Iran is saying. In fact, as I stated, I’m confident that any damage that was done has already been repaired. I’m also confident that the true number of people affected is in hundreds, not thousands.
Do you want to know how I know that we didn’t truly disrupt anyone’s water cycle? Such a move would almost certainly result in international trial on charges of war crimes! No competent military leader or advisor would ever advise President Trump to authorize something like that.
Remember: Iran has every reason to spread anti-American propaganda. In the coming days, they’ll turn up the heat with more gaslighting and less than truthful claims about actual damage and numbers.
Many people are calling what’s going on a war, despite the fact that the United States has not formally declared war. So let’s call it what it is: a conflict. Ceasefires have been signed and they were in short order violated. This is why we’re still over there,
At this very moment, they are retaliating, which is to be expected. They are causing damage to our assets and the assets of others. I’ve been concerned over the past few days, and maybe you have too, that someone is going to launch a nuclear attack. We will be forced to quickly launch in retaliation before, say, Russia’s ICBM’s take out pretty much everything.
We’re both using conventional weapons, at least for the moment. It’s power keg, folks. One misstep on either side, such as us taking out water and possibly power infrastructures, and Iran (possibly) and other aligned countries will literally go nuclear. Will that happen in hours, days, weeks? Normally, I’d say of course not. Such a thing is impossible since the Soviet Union collapsed.
Well, things could be escalating right now. Our DefCon might be at two right now. I love being right, but in this case, I really hope that I’m wrong and making a raving fool of myself.
Hopefully, things will deescalate and there will be peace, the way it should be. But if things go south, Russia and the United States have ICBM’s pointed at each other at this moment. Maybe not as hair-trigger as it was during the Cold War with what was then the Soviet Union. but Russia has enough to wipe our country off the map.
There are 300 million Americans and in the event of a surprise attack with Russia using its whole arsenal to completely make the United States a thing of the past; Most victims will die in less than an instant while other suffer for hours and days. No one can save them and their deaths will leave them wishing they’d been vaporized. In the end, our population may very well be down to ten million. It’s a long shot, but it could happen.
We, however, don’t have as many as they do, at least for the moment. Russia is huge. We can’t devastate the entire country, but we can vaporize Moscow and other such targets. But hopefully, Russia won’t go nuclear in defense of Iran. The entire world would be affected in some way or another.
You can read the travel advisory that I linked you to. The point is this: get out, unless Iran’s military is taking Americans into custody.
But back to the main subject: get out of Iran! Now! Remember: Iran does not outlaw cruel and unusual punishment. Within the next hours and days, we will see video footage of Americans force into orange suits and forced to read anti-American garbage. Then…executed, likely by beheading.
If you think that our government will help you, you are mistaken if you don’t leave Iran right now. That’s if they’re allowing Americans to exit. Will you get help before you get to the embassy? No! It bears repeating: anyone who remains will get absolutely no help from the embassy, because that does not exist in Iran. The time to get out is now, before options are no longer available.
Is staying in Iran or the general area smart? No. But hey, if you want to be kidnapped and possibly beheaded, get on the next flight before the airlines cancel flights.
In regards to my words concerning World War III slowly but surely becoming an actual problem, it’s my position that it will happen sooner rather than later.
For our sake, I hope I’m wrong.
