Today was a good day for ol’ Michael Crook. A few hours ago, I dropped off financial disclosure paperwork to the state Board of Elections, making my campaign truly official. There’s no backing down now, folks. I’m in it to win it, and I am confident that I will win. That’s because I’m the only candidate who truly cares about the voters. The others? They’re self-serving and cowardly.
I acknowledge the fact that I am not the only candidate. Others are running, including one self-serving dude who announced his bid today. I say that because voters made it clear last time that they did not want him as mayor. And, as is his American right, he’s coming back for more. No worries. He’ll get his ass beaten again, because he’s no good for Albany. Vote him in, and we’ll have to stick a fork in Albany, because she’ll be done.
What is important? Well, here are my goals for when I get elected.
I’m not worried about today’s candidate, nor am I scared of my other competition. I am confident that, on November 5th, voters will make the right choice at the polls: me. Those other folks, each and every one of them, care only about their interests and not your interests. Don’t listen to their lies: to them, because it’s all about them. To me, it’s all about you.
Now, I am not going to validate my fellow candidates by naming them. That would give them free Google Juice and it would mean that I recognize them by name, which I don’t. They’re like a baby’s diaper: you throw it away, because it’s full of…well, you know what. And so are they!
With all that being said, I challenge each and every one of my fellow candidates, especially today’s addition, to a debate. But they won’t do it, folks. Why? Because they’re cowards. I have truth and justice on my side, so I fear nothing and no one.
The guy who stepped forward today is trying to play the humble card, as if he knows how it truly is. Folks, he’s never worked an honest day’s work in his life. He knows nothing about what voters truly need.
I, unlike them, have actually worked for a living and I face challenges that many of our city’s fine residents face, especially financial challenges. The other guys had everything handed to them on a silver platter. That means that I, not them, will make you my priority.
Today’s guy said that he isn’t worried about his challengers. Well, he will soon find out that at the very least, he has to worry about me. I see you, dude. And I’m coming to getcha and I will have your supporters ashamed that they ever backed you. His only concern is Albany’s tourism and economy. Albany’s problems run deeper than that and said problems should be the priority.
Unlike him, I will actually do the city some good. Tourism and Albany’s economy are absolutely important, but we need to fix Albany before we market it. He’s forgotten that. Maybe my campaign will remind him.
No, I am not the only one running, but the other guys? Yeah, Democrats. It’s almost certain that a Republican or two will slither up. Me? I have no political party. It’s just me, folks. Unlike those others, I will be completely loyal to you, the voters, whereas the others will have obligations to their parties.
I get it. Albany is primarily Democrat. That’s not lost on me. This time around, maybe voters should go with the guy who doesn’t have a political agenda. Maybe voters should go with the guy who has no loyalties to anyone or anything but you.
Food for thought.
Now, that’s not all that happened today. Last week, I did an interview with WAMC, a local radio station. That interview was published today.
